Eleven is a 10 minute short film written and directed by Lawrence Lim. Produced by Lawrence Lim and Bruce Dawson. Co-Produced by Christian Willis. Completed April 2008. The film was a tremendous accomplishment by the filmmakers, going against numerous industry professionals' beliefs that it could not be achieved in the shooting timeframe with which the director faithfully and tenaciously fought for. Eleven was filmed in under one and a half days at Fox Studios Australia. The continuous one take main sequence was achieved in a day. Eleven is a true testament of what can be achieved in a short film of Hollywood standards. A challenge that had industry professionals such as; veteran armourer, John Fox (Ghost Rider, Macbeth, Ned Kelly, Romper Stomper); and veteran stunt co-ordinator & safety risk assessor, Grant Page (Max Mad, Mad Max 3), intrigued by the project enough to give the filmmakers benefit of the doubt and be a part of something truly special. The result is 10 minutes of pure visual aesthetic and screen magic enhanced by pulsating performances by Robert Mammone (The Matrix Revolutions, The Great Raid, Caterpillar Wish, The Condemned, Underbelly), Diarmid Heidenreich (The Great Raid, Water Rats), & Socratis Otto (Beautiful, Monkey Puzzle). Eleven was a privately funded short film. |
